International MBA Admissions

Thank you for your interest in international study at LIM College’s Center for Graduate Studies and Continuing Education. Please read the following information to complete your application:  

  1. International Student Visa:
    As an international student, you must obtain an F-1 student visa for full-time study in order to obtain an I-20 for you to attend school here at LIM College in NYC. LIM College does not provide an I-20 for part-time study. Once you have received an I-20 from LIM College, please apply to get your F-1 student visa from your nation’s embassy as soon as possible. Please review the application packet and instructions for your form I-20 which you will use to obtain your F-1 Student Visa.  Please note, you may submit your paperwork at anytime, your application will only be processed once you have been accepted into an LIM College program. For information on international study and immigration requirements, it is strongly recommend that you get in touch with:

  2.  Official Transcripts:
    We cannot accept you into our program until we receive the official original transcripts from all the previous schools you have attended. If you have received a high school diploma, associate’s degree, a bachelor’s degree, or a graduate degree from a non-American institution, you must have your transcripts from those schools evaluated by World Education Services (WES), AACRAO International Education Services, or another evaluation agency approved by NACES. to determine how many of your college credits from those schools are transferable towards an LIM College degree program. Please arrange to have your international transcripts evaluated then request that they sent the evaluation to the following address:

  3. Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL):
    International students, for whom English is not the primary language, must take the TOEFL exam and provide an official score report showing a minimum score of 550 on the paper-based test, 213 on the computer-based test or 80 on the internet-based test prior to applying. An official score report of the IELTS test may be provided that shows a minimum score of 6.5.  All official scores must be less than two years old. TOEFL or IELTS score reports will not be required of applicants who have earned an associate’s degree, bachelor’s degree, master’s degree, or doctoral degree at an accredited university in the United States. The TOEFL / IELTS requirement may also be waived for applicants who have earned a degree from an institution outside of the U.S. where instruction is in English. 

     
  4. Recommended Application Deadlines: (Any applications received after our deadlines will be considered for admission on an individual case basis)
  • MBA Program: Our recommended application deadline for admission is July 15th for September admission and January 15th for March admission. It is highly recommended that international applicants complete the application procedure as early as possible.  
  • For Undergraduate Continuing Education Programs: -FLEX, ACCESS, and Non-Matriculated Study: Our recommended application deadlines for admission are the following dates: July 15th for the Fall semester; December 1st for the Spring semester and April 15th for the Summer sessions.  
  • For Graduate Continuing Education Programs: -Advanced Certificate Programs and Non-Matriculated Study: LIM College cannot provide support to international students for any certificate program. International students wishing to take courses as a non-matriculated student in order to transfer credits to a program being currently attended in her/his home institution may inquire by emailing mba@limcollege.edu.
